Fort Lauderdale, Fl, May 6, 2025 – The South Florida chapter of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) is proud to announce Stacy Ritter as the Hospitality Legend of the Year, honoring her extraordinary contributions to the tourism and hospitality industry.

As President and CEO of Visit Lauderdale, the official destination marketing organization for Greater Fort Lauderdale, Stacy Ritter has been a driving force behind the region’s tourism growth and global visibility since 2016. With a career spanning more than two decades in public service, Ritter previously served as a Broward County Commissioner, Mayor of Broward County, and Florida State Representative, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to advancing South Florida’s economic and cultural landscape.

In addition to her executive leadership at Visit Lauderdale, Ritter is a prominent figure on numerous national and regional boards, including the U.S. Travel Association, Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, and the Museum of Discovery and Science. She is also an active member of the Orange Bowl Committee. Her commitment to serving the community further exemplifies her influential presence in shaping major tourism-driving events.

Her strategic vision, advocacy, and steadfast dedication have positioned Greater Fort Lauderdale as a world-class destination, and her impact continues to ripple across the local, regional, and national hospitality ecosystem.

The South Florida hospitality community will honor Stacy Ritter’s achievements at the 40th Annual HSMAI South Florida Gala, held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.
