38th Annual HSMAI Masquerade Gala - Awards Dinner & Silent Auction

The Annual Gala is a night full of celebration for our core HSMAI successes.

This year, we’re thrilled to honor Jorge Pesquera, President, and CEO of The Palm Beaches, as our 2022 Hospitality Legend. With 45 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Jorge’s dedication to The Palm Beaches County tourism industry has played a pivotal role in attracting a record-breaking 9.1 million visitors to The Palm Beaches in 2022. Previously, Jorge served as president and CEO of the Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association and was recognized as the Hotel Association Executive of the Year at the Caribbean Hotel Industry Conference. He also led the Puerto Rico Convention and Visitors Bureau for a decade, overseeing the development of the $450 million Puerto Rico Convention Center and its surrounding district. With senior executive positions at Hilton International and Conrad Hotels, including locations in New York, London, and Beverly Hills, Jorge is an inspiring leader and a deserving recipient of the HSMAI’s Hospitality Legend 2022 title.

During the evening, we will also the honor and celebrate South Florida's Top Talent across multiple hospitality categories - from the various areas of sales and marketing, hotel general management, and revenue optimization…and from newcomer superstars to seasoned leaders.

In addition to honoring hospitality legends and leaders, the gala will also feature a Silent Auction to raise funds for the HSMAI South Florida Dr. Peter Ricci Scholarship Fund. Thanks in great part to your contributions; our chapter is able to offer deserving students, registered in hospitality and tourism management college-level across South Florida.
